Beef Stroganoff is either one of the easiest meals to prepare, or it can be one of the most time consuming. This dish entirely depends on the richness of taste, and the quality, that you want in your food.

The so-called Hamburger Helper, would be the alternative in this case. The stroganoff is made by using ground hamburger meat - any type, along with noodles, seasonings, and the sauce. Most of this is prepackeaged, making a quick and easy meal.

Preparing a home made beef stroganoff from scratch is time consuming, however you gain the nutritious benefits, as well as excellent quality, richness and taste. But we don’t always have time to prepare the best dinner every night of the week. Sometimes we need a little short cut, and using ground beef in a stroganoff recipe is one sure way to cut down on prep and cooking time.

Grounf Beef Stroganoff

  • 1 box Beef Stroganoff, hamburger helper
  • 1 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Noodles, cooked according to package directions

Peel and chop the onion and garlic.

In a skillet, fry the hamburger meat, onion, and garlic, until the hamburger meat is done. Drain the hamburger meat.

In a pot cook the noodles according to package directions.

Just before the noodles have finished cooking, add the hamburger to the noodles, along with your sauce.

You may also place the noodles on a platter. In this case, you will want to stir the sauce mixture into your hamburger mixture, letting it simmer for a few minutes, then pour directly over the noodles. This will be best if served hot, rather than cold.

Serve with bread or rolls, and your favorite vegetables.

For a dessert, you may want to serve a banana pudding or a fruit cocktail with a dallop of whipped topping.
